Anime Hanabi Festival 2009 – Post 2

I know this picture is too damn dark. But bear with me for a moment. Read on to see the story behind the blackness.

There was a brief moment during the course of the event where some of the photographers, me included, were idling around. Slightly tired, slightly bored, a little restless, and still looking for more cosplayers to snap.
Gathering around, we started a random chat, which from I learn that my camera actually has the ability to remotely trigger my flash (I can trigger the flash even when it’s not connected to the camera itself). Thanks to the guys for the tip. NOobness indeed. Xp

So, what do you do when you learn something new?
Why you put it to practice of course!

Pressed a few buttons on the camera, on the flash, and Voila!.. Settings done. Aimed the flash away and press the shoot button.

ZAAAPP!!!
Wtf?! Major blindness..!

Being the topic of the conversation, everyone set their flash to try out the wireless flash trigger. And everyone was on the same frequency (forgot the jargon jiggamabob).
SO… when someone pressed the shoot button, everyone’s flash would trigger.
.

Now the funny part was, everyone was smart enough to aim the flash away from themselves. But in doing so, the flash were aimed at each other instead. Lol!
And there linkin was sitting comfortably aiming at me. -.-”

Boys being boys, what ensued was something I’d like to call…

“FLASH FIGHTTTT!!!”
Lol!

We just started randomly (in an intentional kind of way Xp ) pointed our flash around and triggered it. Aiming to blind someone’s ass off.
When I say someone, I do mean one of us. Lol!
And when I say blind someone’s ass off, obviously we didn’t do it point blank. We’re not retarded.

Of course, we stopped after a while.
Hey it wasn’t crazy fun! But Heck! we were bored.
And it WAS slightly entertaining. -.-”

Having fooled around with the flash so much, the action later came back to nip me in the butt as my flash gave up near the ending band performance. The batteries were dead…

Hmmm.. Actually, I don’t know why I’m sharing this story.
I need to make a point to justify subjecting you guys to so much spam when we all know all you want is to look at the cosplay pictures. Xp

Well, I guess I’m saying that having a good event and all is important. But having great company for an event is just as important!
Lol. I’m getting lamer by the minute.
